What we do?
We meet for a social gathering on the second Thursday of each month at 19:30 at The Kingcase Church Hall, Prestwick. Of course that is also the time when the business of the Club is discussed, but that generally does not take up much of the evening and we also have presentations on a variety of topics. For example we have had an illustrated talk on the Beagle space program, classic cars in the movies and more recently a talk on the 1953 Monte Carlo rally, all from folks who were intimately and enthusiastically connected with their topic.
We have a varied program of away-day activities, which are predominantly focused on visiting the many Scottish car shows. We also go on runs (the car variety) now set for the last Tuesday of the month when sometimes the weather is in our favour and if it is not, then we drive our everyday cars. The aim is to have a pleasant time, a chinwag and perhaps a visit to an attraction. Of course we also have purely social events such as annual dinners, BBQs, quiz and so forth but the committee is always open to new ideas.
