Kingcase Church Fete & Kames Classic Car Show 2019

A Weekend of Two Events

Saturday saw 16 club cars head into Prestwick to support Kingcase Parish Church’s Summer Fete.

We have our monthly meetings in the church hall (See you all on Thursday folks!) and were delighted to answer the call to attend and certain members were even more delighted to sample the cakes and potato scones!

Thanks for the invitation – We hope the cars added to your event!

On Sunday East Ayrshire Car Club welcomed 286 vehicles to their race track facility for their annual show with around 30 Ayrshire Classic members attending this very enjoyable event.

The race track and newly refurbished clubhouse always provides a great setting for a show with the weather mainly smiling on us, if failing to hit the heights (and temperatures) of last year.
No such concerns for the show which goes from strength to strength!

Ayrshire Classics members did rather well for prizes with Reg Donald (1971 Lotus Europa), George Rome (1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands), Lawrence Seditas (1972 Lotus Elan Sprint) and Paul Cosway all winning trophies, Paul and his 1954 Porsche Speedster making it a double following his success at our own Cars on the Campus show.

Congratulations to you all and thanks to everyone who turned out with their magnificent machines to represent the club over both days as well as to East Ayrshire Car Club for another great event that celebrated Classics of all types and their current custodians and of course to Kingcase Parish Church.
