With the lifting of restrictions comes the welcome opportunity for us to hopefully attend our first Car Show of the year and it’s The Kames Car Show!
Firstly, our congratulations & warm thanks go to the team at East Ayrshire Car Club & Kames Car Show for managing to get this over the line in the most trying of circumstances.
This will obviously be a different affair from a ‘normal’ show and there are guidelines to observe which we reproduce below for your convenience.
Please note that there have been ‘last minute’ updates to Scottish Govt. advice and this may yet affect the running of upcoming events, so stay tuned for any changes!
Assuming things go as planned, our arrangements are below:
For our part, we will arrive and display together as a Club to ensure we all get a ‘pitch’ together.
Brian suggests we meet at 8:00am at the lay-by on the right as you leave Lugar heading towards Muirkirk / Kames for an 8:15am departure. If this doesn’t suit everyone, please try to arrive as soon as possible as vehicles will be given a space at the show in the order they arrive in.

The entrance fee is £5 per vehicle and £5 per passenger over the age of 16. Please have this ready to pay at the gate to make entry as smooth as possible.

Show Cars Welcome from 7.00am till 9.00am £5 each payable on gate
Public Welcome from 10.00am – £5 each unless under 16 payable on gate
One Way System in Place
With the recent government announcement regarding live events, we are now in a position to confirm the annual car show will go ahead on the scheduled date SATURDAY 29th AUGUST @ Kames Motorsport Complex, Muirkirk! Our Event has been approved by East Ayrshire Council and Police Scotland
Let’s celebrate by providing you all with a list of the Trophies Up For Grabs at the Show!

All Show Cars and Car Clubs will be judged, We’re doing the judging different this year by welcoming the above local businesses aboard to sponsor the awards, a representative from their business will choose their winner during the show and present the trophy at our Awards Ceremony that takes place at 3.00pm before the show ends at 4.00pm.
Can we also ask everyone keeps to the one way system in place, practicing social distancing and use the hand sanitisation stations provided regularly throughout the day. We also recommend you bring a face covering and your own hand sanitiser for personal use only. Please also remember to follow the FACTS Guidance recommended by the Scottish Government. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a Car Show! It’s £5 pay on the gate for all show cars and public spectators. No need to pre-book, just turn up on the day and we’ll allocate you a space. –
