For Sale – Stunning MGB GT – All Proceeds to Charity!

I’m sure those of you who have visited the site at some point this year will instantly recognise this beautiful MGB GT as the vehicle that was raffled to raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support earlier this Spring.

I know many of us donated and ACS raised a very welcome £10,480 with the lucky winner being Alistair Livingstone, who, after enjoying it over the Summer, has decided to sell it with the proceeds of the sale being very generously donated back to Ayrshire Cancer Support.

We are delighted to be able to assist him in advertising this vehicle and ask everyone to spread this far and wide so he can quickly find the MGB GT a new home and get those much needed funds to ACS.

We have no connection to either the seller or the Charity – only a wish to help a generous benefactor connect with potential purchasers to benefit this great local cause.

So about that car!
The raffle winner Alistair Livingstone writes:

1969 MGB GT  For Sale HVV 149 – £7,250 oieo – ALL proceeds to Ayrshire Cancer Support

Some History:

The car was fully restored around 2014/15 in Penzance by Carn Bosavern Garage,
Carn Bosavern,
St. Just,

Some details from their website:

It looks like the car then moved to Durham area: -garage have been helpful and have given some contacts in local club that could help trace ownership.

Came to Ayrshire around 2018 and was gifted to Ayrshire Cancer Support for auction/raffle to raise funds.

With no previous interest in classic cars I bought many tickets for the raffle and much to my surprise won the car.
Since winning the car I have had Bryson’s of Prestwick carry out some essential repairs including new fuel tank, wheel bearings, battery covers and generally prepare for a successful MOT in September 2020.

I have also purchased an outside car cover:

The car is now ready to move to new owner with all proceeds from the sale going to Ayrshire Cancer Support  –  the money will be donated for the purpose of Home for Cancer in Ayr:

Car is available for viewing in Kilmarnock by contacting myself on:

There are also several pictures after that taken immediately after it’s full restoration in 2015 for your information.  Dates are shown on all photographs to avoid any confusion.
