Places to visit in 2022 – The NTT, Red Wheels & Green Wheels

Are your thoughts turning towards days out in 2022?

If they are, you may be interested in the ‘National Transport Trust’ website which lists sites of historical importance to UK transport heritage.

The Trust run ‘The Red Wheels Scheme’ which seeks to identify and commemorate sites of significance in the UK and certain of these even display a ‘Red Wheel’ plaque, which you can learn about by visiting their website (Click ‘HERE’ to do so)

They now also run the complimentary ‘Green Wheels’ programme which seeks to encourage and recognise Transport Heritage Sites which make efforts towards reducing their carbon footprint.  You can learn about these by clicking ‘HERE’.

The National Transport Trust (est. 1965 as Transport Trust) is the only national body which promotes and encourages the preservation and restoration of Britain’s transport heritage in all its forms – road, rail, wings and water.
