Largs Viking Festival & Kirkcudbright Classic Car Show

A couple of events attended by the club last weekend which George Frame will tell us about below:

Largs Viking Festival

We gathered at Morrison’s car park in Largs to join the parade at 1 pm – a later start than we’re used to for shows, so a welcome ‘lie in’.

Our group headed down through the town and along the beach front to park up at the Lifeboat Station.
The parade consisted of fire engines, bands, dancers, tractors and classic cars, all greeted by hundreds of spectators along the way.

The weather was fantastic and everybody had a great day.

Kirkcudbright Classic Car Show

We left from the Frame house in Coylton at 8:00am and headed over the back roads towards Patna and from there, down to the car show – a pleasant one and half hour drive.

On arrival, we parked up with 10 cars, erected the flags and put the chairs out before walking around a good display of vehicles.

After that we headed for the seats and chatted the rest of the day – the sun was out all day and what a great time we had.
