The October ‘Thursday Run’ (27th)
As you will have read in the Newsletter, which members should have received on Tuesday morning, the October ‘Thursday Run’ will be on the 27th.
We are meeting at Dobbies, Ayr (KA6 5JJ) in plenty of time for a 12pm departure to head towards The Fairburn Hotel, Mauchline (KA5 5BU) for lunch.
Following that, we’re ‘crossing the road’ to Kays Curling where we’ve been invited to look around the workshop and hear a short presentation on Curling Stones, their manufacture since 1852 and why Kays are the best in the world!

George tells us we will have about 30 members for lunch, hopefully we will have 20 at the Curling stone factor. We have agreed a £5.00 subsidy from the club and £5.00 from members to make up the £10.00 Tour Ticket cost for the Heritage Centre, also if we buy from the shop money will come off club contribution , also we are using the fixed price menu (below) as this makes it easier for the staff.
