Cars ‘n’ Coffee @ Greenside Garden Centre

Sunday out – Cars, Tea & Bacon Rolls!

Sunday the 29th saw the first ‘Cars ‘n’ Coffee’ of the year at Greenside Garden Centre, Newhouse, Motherwell, so I thought I’d head over and spend a Sunday morning at this relaxed and popular event.

Lanarkshire Classic Car Club organise & run this meet which falls on the last Sunday of the month and is free to attend.  They do have charity bucket, the proceeds of which are donated to CHAS at the end of the year – A worthy cause if ever there was one.

I took the (not so classic) Mercedes along as the MGB & MR2 are both undergoing surgery that It’s been too cold to finish recently – such a fair weather ‘mechanic’…..

There was quite the turn out considering the time of year and that lots of classic owners SORN their pride and joy through the winter months, with a few hardy souls showing ups in open top vehicles.

The garden centre accordingly did a roaring trade in hot food and drinks and I willingly partook.

It was great to see some members up there enjoying a Sunday out – I bumped into Robin, Brian, Ronnie, Kath & Arnold during the couple of hours I was there and of course saw some cracking cars (I missed a few that were there only for the first hour too.

There is a very short video below to give you a flavour of what’s on offer at this meet.
